One Plus 5T is all set to get its royal unveiling on Thursday, November 16. However as the date is approaching, more and more leaks regarding the device is making its way to the internet. The flagship smartphone has now been spotted live in a leaked unboxing video that purportedly shows you every aspect of the upcoming smartphone.
One Plus Leaks
The five-minute leaked OnePlus 5T unboxing video uploaded by EliTdrone, a youtuber showcases the retail unit of the smartphone. It also previews the box that has the new OnePlus smartphone. The device gets a 6 inch, 18:9 aspect ratio display. The sources mention it to be a 1080p display. With a 18:9 display ratio, we are pretty sure that this is a Full HD+ panel, with a 2,160 x 1,080 pixels resolution. Additionally, the video compares the display of the device with the iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S8, and its predecessor OnePlus 5.
The video also shows the updated bezel-less display of the OnePlus 5T alongside its back-facing fingerprint scanner. Further, the unboxing uncovers the protective cases that OnePlus would launch for its next flagship offering. The device is also featuring the latest Face Unlock feature that is the primary security feature of the Iphone X. It also has a fingerprint sensor placed on the back of the device above the OnePlus logo. An upgraded OxygenOS build has also been revealed in the video that doesn’t appear to have many major changes over the existing OxygenOS build available on the OnePlus 5. That means that it would be running on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat instead of the latest Android Oreo.
The Geekbench listing, courtesy TelefoonAbonnement.nl, highlights that the OnePlus 5T results in 1959 single-core scores and 6742 multi-core scores. The lists features a device with 8 GB of RAM. Furthermore, the benchmark listing points to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC.
One Plus 5T Price
Although unboxing video and the fresh benchmark listing are enough to let us assume a premium price tag of the OnePlus 5T, CEO Pete Lau suggested a competitive price strategy through the recent tweet. “Cost of smartphone components is rising, but phones are also getting better. OnePlus users will appreciate what’s coming,” the tweet reads.
OnePlus is hosting the launch of the OnePlus 5T in New York City on November 16. Moreover, the smartphone will be available in India starting November 21.
